This is the first time I have heard this song, and it is good, what I want to know is who is singing the song?
@Moonshine12 That makes me so sad, I originally liked this cos of Lowry’s paintings but I wouldn’t have known about Lowry’s paintings if it wasn’t for your grandad. He had a really nice easy listening voice.and I must have listened to this song loads over the years cos I know all the words. You should be very proud of your Grandad. Do you sing at all?

I haven’t heard this song for ages, our Y2 teacher played it to us during art one day and there was something about it that I just really liked. Listening to it now brought back memories from nearly 10 years ago. Anyway well made and RIP caerleonman.

I fell in love with this song when I lived for a short time in England in Wiltshire, I practicaly wore out the tape I bought there and I am so glad this song is on YT.
It also let me get to know this wonderful painter who painted every day life, in some way reminds me of my native, Polish folk painter Nikifor…and many paintings also remind me very much of the Polish mining district where i lived…Thank you for this video! Warm greetings from San Francisco.

i would like to thank bampy for putting a classic song on here i grew up listenin to this song as a kid back in lancashire,reminds me of my roots and to never forget home and im sure this gentleman who added this will be sadly missed but my hat goes off to him many thanx
