This page states that this litter box is only “6 x 5 x 4 inches”! Is that right??? Of course, I only noticed that AFTER ordering it! I called Amazon, and the woman who answered (who was in India) put me on hold to check - She came back and said that this IS the correct size. Well, I don’t know about all the other reviewers here, but my cats, including my 4-month-old kitten, are BIGGER than 6 x 5 inches!!!

I finally found a Web Site that includes the CORRECT dimensions; they’re 20.3″L X 15.2″W X 11.8″H. Come on, Amazon, check your info *AND* train your representatives!

And since I haven’t received it yet, I’ll come back and rate it more appropriately after I see how my cats react to/use it.

Although the litter came packed in styrofoam with another item I’d ordered, one of the three litter pellet bags was broken and re-packaged into a large plastic bag. The broken bag felt slightly lighter than the unopened litter pellet bags.

Save your money. [...]. I am a litter box rehabilitation specialist and though I like the idea of the breeze, the design of this product is troublesome to me. Any pelleted pet litters may lead your cat to potty outside of the box, so please hang on to your old litter and box if you do transition to the breeze. Also, make sure your cats is urinating AND defecating in the Breeze for at least a week before you remove your old box.

The whole point of this contraption is to reduce odors and it fails terribly. Odor is a bigger problem when you use this box. Those who say otherwise must have stuffy noses. The Breeze pads (which are expensive even when you buy them in bulk) are supposed to be “odor free”. They must mean that they are odor free before the urine hits them because there is a strong odor after a single urination onto the pad. For $[...] each, the pads should actually control odor. It would be easy and inexpensive for the manufacturer to add an effective odor controlling ingredient to the pad, but they have failed to do this.

As for the Breeze pellets, when your cat covers his feces, it is not very well coated and when you scoop some of the pellets that fall back into the box will be contaminated with poop. Fecal odor will be much more noticeable if you are transitioning from a fine clumping litter to the breeze. Perhaps Purina want to ensure that you buy more of the pellets and pads by making them inneficient. I don’t agree with the way this product is marketed and think the company is very dishonest.

Most cats prefer a fine, dense substrate (like sand) to urinate and defecate in. The large Breeze pellets are disliked by most cats. Forcing a cat to use a litter he does not prefer is asking for trouble. Urinating outside of the box is the leading behavior problem of house cats and a leading cause of kitty euthanasia. If box odors were significantly reduced by this system, I could see the reason for increasing the chance of problem behaviors. However, since my experience has been an increase in box odors, I absolutely cannot recommend this product. Keep in mind that once a cat urinates outside the box, it will likely keep urinating in the newly assigned area. Switching back to a box they used before with litter they used to prefer, may not cure the problem. Unless your cat absolutely loves the Breeze Pellets and you are OK with the odors, It’s best to just stick with Pine or clumping litter (read warning below).

Fine vs Pine vs Breeze- Unfortunately, clumping clay litters may be linked to feline asthma and can contribute to sinus infections in people that clean the boxes. Other clumping litters such as Swheat Scoop, Feline Pine Clumping, and World’s Best, are good alternatives but they will track more and stick to the scoop and box a bit. If a cat prefers a fine substrate, deal with the tracking and sticking- it’s better than having a cat who dislikes his box. I prefer pine pellets for reduced tracking, if the cat will use them. Pine pellets will turn into sawdust and stick to the feces better than Breeze pellets (which never break down). With pine pellets you eliminate the urine odor completely and fecal odor is reduced. Pine litter is very affordable $[...] per month, per cat. With a Breeze system you are likely going to spend $[...] per month on pellets and pads. Feline Pine pellets and no-clay clumping litters are easier to transport and carry than clay litters.

If you want to control all cat odors and have a very healthy cat, consider a diet change for your kitty. You can reduce fecal odor significantly with raw diets. These are very easy to obtain at local pet stores. The larger pet store chains do not carry raw diets typically. Raw diets help with increased health, decreased fecal odor, decreased fleas and sometimes decreased shedding (depending on which ingredients you choose).

Good luck finding the perfect litter setup.[...]

Very slow to ship - like, over a week between order and shipping (then the time in transit). Not a good thing for a product that’s supposed to help keep you house safe and sanitary for your kitty poop.

excuse me for yelling, but i spent enough money, i feel like i am entitled.

MY HUSBAND AND I PURCHASED THE BREEZE SYSTEM FOR OUR 3 CATS, WE PURCHASED “MULTIPLE” BOXES FOR MULTIPLE ROOMS OF OUR HOME. WHEN WE BROUGHT IT HOME WE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE THE GREATEST THING EVER, SINCE I WAS PREGNANT WE WOULD NOT HAVE TO HAUL HOME BAGS OF 20 POUND CAT LITTER AND ALSO HAUL BACK THROUGH HOUSE FOR REMOVAL. WE SET UP OUR BREEZE BOXES WE SPENT NEARLY 200 DOLLARS IN TOTAL ON. OUR FIRST CAT USED IT, AND WITH GLEE WE WERE ON OUR WAY. UNTIL WE REALIZED MANY DAYS LATER THAT THE PEE LEAKS OUT THE BACK OF THE BOX. THE BOX IS A 2 PIECE SYSTEM, NOT FOOLPROOF BY ANY MEANS. ALL 4 BOXES LEAKED OUT ON TO CARPET AND WOOD FLOORS, SO AFTER CLEANING UP THE SPILLS WE HAD TO REGROUP. WE PURCHASED 2 RUBBERMAID CONTAINERS PER BOX, AND CREATED AN IGLOO AROUND THE BOX. SO AFTER DOING THIS, IT CONTAINED THE LEAKING BOX DESIGN. SO AFTER THE TROUBLE THAT IT IS TO CLEAN THE MAIN BOX AND THE BOX THAT CONTAINS THE BOX, AND CHANGING THE PADS WEEKLY AND PELLETS MONTHLY WE WERE NOT SAVING ANY MONEY, OR HASSLE. THE SMELL WAS NO DIFFERENT AFTER THE FIRST WEEK OF NEW PELLETS. WE HAVE HAD THIS SYSTEM FOR 1 YEAR. AND I WOULD CONTINUE TO USE IT IF THE PADS WERE STILL AVAILABLE AT TARGET OR WALMART FOR $4.00 PER PACKAGE OF PADS AND $5.00 PER PACKAGE OF PELLETS, BUT ALAS, THEY HAVE BEEN DISCONTINUED AT BOTH STORES, LEAVING ME THE ONLY OPTION OF PETSMART, PETSMARTASS IF YOU WANT MY HONEST OPINION. THEY WANT $12.00 PER PACKAGE OF PADS, AND $14.00 PER PACKAGE OF PELLETS. SO NOW I AM LOOKING AT ALMOST $70.00 PER MONTH TO CONTROL ODOR FOR AT BEST ONE WEEK. OH MY GOODNESS, I FEEL SO DEFEATED. SO BACK TO FELINE PINE I SUPPOSE. I COULD NOT WARN PEOPLE ENOUGH ABOUT THIS PRODUCT! I FEEL SO BAD, I BOUGHT MY FRIEND, AND MY MOTHER THIS PRODUCT AND CAUSED CARPET AND WOOD FLOOR ISSUES FOR BOTH OF THEM. NOW THEY DONT TRUST MY JUDGEMENT ON ANYTHING I SAY THAT I LIKE. I HOPE OTHER PEOPLE DO NOT MAKE THIS SAME PRODUCT PURCHASE MISTAKE. I WILL NOW BE INSTALLING NEW CARPETS IN THE 2 ROOMS THAT THE BOX DESTROYED CARPET IN. PERHAPS THE MAKERS ALSO MAKE CARPET CLEANING PRODUCTS. HA HA HA.

GOOD LUCK ALL!
